RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS
TREES INN HOUSING PROJECT
The National Housing Authority is developing a housing complex for NAPSA staff pension scheme at Trees Inn Makeni , Lusaka. The complex comprises of 69 number housing units, commercial and recreational developments. The development is being undertaken under the Build Back Better and Green Recovery concepts.



RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS
PROPOSED PROJECTS
(a) The NHA has planned to deliver a minimum of 5,000 housing units per year around the country. In order to reduce the housing deficit, provide affordable housing to low-income earners, and mitigate the challenges faced by citizens living in houses that are not properly serviced. This scheme enables the Government to provide affordable housing for the citizenry and set up revolving funds to sustain the delivery of at least (5,000) housing units per year, after seven (7) years of initial funding.
The housing units shall be offered to would be homeowners, as tenants initially, on 'Rent- to own' scheme for a period of Twenty-five (25) years. The initial target group are Civil and Public Servants.
NHA will require structured project financing of (US Dollars 116 million) from financiers every year for a period of seven (7) years as seed money. A revolving fund will be established over time as the purchasers' rentals are collected.
(b) Proposed Lake Road and Nyumba Yanga Apartments. The NHA plans to develop 150 rental units at the incomplete former Zamtel flats and 25 rental units at the Nyumba Yanga Block yard at a cost of K193.375 million.


NYUMBA YANGA HOUSING SCHEME
- The development is an approximately USD $4 Million PPP infrastructure,
- The project site is 0.56 hectares. The site was used as NHA block yard when fully developed, the housing development will comprised of : 48 number smart housing units,
- Adequate parking,
- Intercom facility to housing units,
- Centralized DSTV facility,
- Recreational spaces/facilities,
- Waterborne soil drainage,
- Backup portable water supply to compliment LWSCO supply,
- Internet services ,
- Security surveillance system.

LAKE ROAD HOUSING PROJECT
- The development is expected to be approximately USD $6 Million PPP infrastructure. The project site is 1.2201 hectares. The site has 2 incomplete blocks of flats built up to ground floor and Columbs await the first - slob. when fully developed, the housing development will comprised of:
- 70 number smart housing units,
- Adequate parking,
- Intercom facility to housing units,
- Centralized DSTV facility,
- Recreational spaces/facilities,
- Waterborne soil drainage,
- Backup portable water supply to compliment LWSCO supply,
- Internet services ,
- Security surveillance system.




RE-DEVELOPMENT OF MISISI AND KUKU
COMPOUNDS


NHA has planned to transform the unplanned settlements of Misisi and Kuku through the construction of 12,500 flats, roads, water and sewerage. Estimated cost is about K3.5 billion (USD555 Million). The development will incorporate commercial andn industrial plot
